Sometimes the simplest moments remind us how much joy can be found in coming together. Over the past few weeks, that joy has been at the core of our experiences, from parents stepping into the group space to share in their children’s growth, to a colourful Tie‑Dye and Tea fundraiser that sparked conversation, and finally a Spring Festival that brought celebration to end the term.
The Blocks for Growth programme, held every Tuesday and Friday, recently added a heartwarming twist to one of their sessions: parents were invited in as active observers. This gave them the chance to watch their children in the group space, see how they interact, and even try out some of the new skills alongside them. It wasn’t just about observation; it was about shared learning and building bridges between home and the programme.
Over the weekend, we hosted our Tie‑Dye and Tea fundraiser, and what a success it was! Beyond everyone leaving with a vibrant, one‑of‑a‑kind t‑shirt, the event sparked many meaningful conversations and connections. For many, tie‑dye was a brand‑new experience, and the joy of watching each unique design unfold was contagious. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, and to top it off, everyone had the chance to join in a raffle, with our lucky winner walking away with a COLT inspired tie‑dyed t‑shirt as a special keepsake.
Yesterday marked the end of Term 3 for our little learners, and there was no better way to celebrate than with our Spring Festival. The day was beautifully planned by our teachers: children began the morning by proudly wearing their flower crowns, singing and playing games. At lunchtime, everyone enjoyed a spring‑inspired meal of sandwiches, and the day ended on a thoughtful note with a story about a bird searching for a nest and the helpful animal friends he met along the way.
