Story telling Indaba

Rylands Library invited our school children to a Story telling Indaba on Tuesday 16th April. It was quite an experience for the children to be part of the large school audience in the civic centre. This kind of experience is so important for our older children who are being prepared for Grade R next year.

There were a few different activities organised for the morning. One had an emphasis on saving water, another was about smoking and air pollution. Some of the children were very quick to learn the tunes and lyrics which were part of these presentations, and recited them at school the following day!
