Children of Light Educare (COLT) started in 2017 with a vision to provide integral education for disadvantaged children, to create a space for children to ‘be’, to bring out their true and highest potential. What we have learnt about them and their needs has shaped the Educare curriculum and our wish for the future is to continue serving them and their communities. The Educare is very blessed to have teachers who are committed to the vision and go beyond the scope of their job functions to support the children and their families. Request for Donations
COLT is a Non Profit Organisation and relies on donations for all of its funding. Our bank balance is currently R69 683.90 and our appeal is for donations to help us sustain COLT staff salaries and Educare transport costs. Average monthly expenses are R26 000 and monthly income is R18 000.
In the 3rd quarter the shortfall was increased by R24 000 due to unexpected building costs in our drive to comply with criteria for registration with the Department of Social Development.
We would like to take this opportunity to call for monthly pledges in support of the Educare. A suggestion is a donation of R500 per month or an annual donation of R6 000.
